Columbia CSC 1938 with Beast River Fishing

Columbia has long been part of New York’s uniform. Here in New York City, “outdoor” is a relative term. On the river. On the street. In between.
To celebrate the launch of the CSC 1938 capsule, we wanted to explore what Columbia means to a new generation of New Yorkers, and what the outdoors looks like when it lives inside the city.
We partnered with video art director Adam Jason Cohen and culture-driven fishing publication FISHO Magazine to tell that story through a lifestyle lookbook and film, featuring Beast River Fishing. A group rooted in chasing striped bass through NYC’s tidal rivers, Beast River represents a raw, disciplined approach to fishing that exists entirely within the concrete landscape. Reading tides, putting in the hours, and treating the city itself as wild terrain.
